Christmas 2008

[Fun Fact: McConnons.com was launched in December of 2007 as a Christmas present from me to Kristie. Here's the sentimental, ambitious post I wrote on Christmas Eve 2007 to really kick things off.]

This year we got to spend Christmas with the Tanners up in Boise. We had from Tuesday night to Sunday, which was awesome…but really made me miss those long college winter vacations. Here’s a few fun photos to illustrate the week:

The kids before the Christmas Eve dinner tradition of Crab, Shrimp & Chicken.

Stocking gifts from Santa!

Can you tell Kristie's excited for me to open my gifts?

I thought the hood on this jacket made Kristie look hilarious.

Cole won the Monopoly game, despite our best efforts to gang up on him.

"Chancho. When you are a man, sometimes you wear stretchy pants in your room. It's for fun."

This is a video of Cole as the Jacket Monster. It’s really weird looking, but oh-so funny:

Other highlights:

  • Working out and playing racquetball at the YMCA with the new family pass the Tanners got for Christmas
  • Sledding in the crazy snowstorm
  • Stunting with Chris and Lacey
  • Home-made soup with Kenny and Mari
  • Delivering mom’s delicious sugar cookies to neighbors
  • Boardgames! Especially Clue
  • Dad’s slideshow

Mom and dad Tanner: Thanks so much for having us and making Christmas wonderful!

Mom and dad McConnon: We really missed you and can’t wait to be with you for Christmas 2009!
