This week Kristie was recruited by an employee of the Runner’s Corner to join their marathon team. They heard about her qualifying time for the Boston Marathon, and were really impressed by the fact that she got it on her very first one. She’ll be training with a bunch of former college athletes and running junkies who think they can take her raw talent and really boost her her performance with proper training. Besides the camaraderie of joining the team, it was pretty cool for her to get a bunch of free running stuff too.

Turns out that two other members of the team will be running the Boston Marathon in April too, so she’ll have a few friends on the course (as well as a rowdy group of fans that will be off of it!). I’m so proud of her…anyone that knows Kristie knows that she loves running, and her dedication really shows.

Congrats Kristie! That is so exciting, although not very surprising. We need to get together for lunch soon and catch up; I really miss you. Its been too long. By the way I started a blog and am still trying to figure the thing out. I love you dear!
I’m so proud of you Kristie! Way to go! All that hard work pays off in many ways!
Love,
Mom Tanner
