Sunday Dinner

Ryan and Mandy came over for dinner on Sunday night and these 2 girls had a great time! I wish they weren’t moving so far away! I would love to see them grow up together. You’ll be missed!

Even though this photo is blurry, I had to put it in… So cute.

Here they are jumping off the stairs… Well, Lilah is trying to jump but is kind of just falling off… lol

BYU vs. Saint Mary’s

On Saturday Tom got a call from Rob asking if we would like 2 tickets to the BYU game that night! We were free for the evening and jumped at the chance! Lilah did surprisingly well. She was really excited and happy during the first half. She was dancing to the music, staring at the video screen, and screaming happily at Cosmo. She did got a little bored during the second half, so we took lots of bathroom and drink breaks to make things interesting. The game itself was pretty ugly, but we still had a great time. We’ve missed being so involved in BYU athletics. Thanks again Rob!

Mountain Green

We finally had a free weekend and decided to head up to Mountain Green to spend some time with Nathan & Kendra. We headed up after work on Friday and got there just in time for dinner. Kendra made us all a delicious meal! Lilah scarfed down the tilapia… and the green smoothie. I think we’ve made that specific green smoothie 5-6 times since we left & love it! I love new ideas!

After dinner we got all 3 kids to bed and then stayed up way too late talking. I know we do that every time, but it’s hard to choose sleep over good conversations. We don’t get to see each other often enough & had lots of catching up to do.

In the morning Kendra and I were able to go on a quick run while the boys played with the kids. When we got back we decided to take the kids sledding on the new sled they got for Christmas. It has a horse on it! We found a hill that was pretty flat, and turned out perfect for the kids. It was Lilah’s first time sledding and I think she really liked it!

From there we headed home so that the kids could take a nap while Nathan cooked up some delicious enchiladas for dinner. We headed out soon after for the BYU vs. Saint Mary’s basketball game. Thanks again you guys! You were so generous and we had a great time!

Girls Night

I don’t know why we hadn’t thought of doing this before, but Lacey, Becca and I finally decided to get together and have a girls night. We didn’t have much of a plan, but decided to make some cute crepe paper flowers to decorate for Valentines day. Tom was even able to take Lilah to scouts with him so we would have the night to ourselves.

We ran to the store and grabbed some pipe cleaners, which was the only purchase we had to make. The rest of the stuff we already had on hand. We had a great time and made a bunch of flowers. We made enough for everyone to have a little table display. Sadly, I forgot to take a picture of us all together. Thanks again girls! Can’t wait to do it again.

Family Dinners

We love living so close to some of my family and really enjoy the time we get to spend together. Lacey and Travis were nice enough to invite us over for dinner at Travis’ apartment. Lacey made pizza with a whole wheat crust and basil, chicken topping! Everything turned out great and we had a really fun time. Lilah loved getting to see Travis’ lizard.

Here’s Lilah, in a pair of boots that belongs to Travis’ roommate.

The very next night, we headed over to Houston and Becca’s apartment for some delicious homemade soup! We felt so spoiled! Two delicious dinners that we didn’t even have to make. We were able to bring a side dish of our garden carrots to Becca & Houston’s place. I’m still so amazed that you can leave carrots in the ground all winter without them getting limp or going bad! You just go out and dig them up as you need them! Garden carrots always taste much better than store bought ones too. Lacey and Travis came over as well and we all enjoyed the time to just relax and catch up. Lilah adores all of these people says their names all the time!

Thanks again guys! Wish we could see everyone else this often too!
