Dinner with the Hillers

We got a chance to have dinner at Grandma Hillers with some of the family, and Lilah had such a great time! She had 3 little mommies to take care of her. I just wish I had been better about taking pictures of everyone that was there. Thanks again Grandma! That was quite an ordeal to have all of us there.

Nana’s Visit

We were so excited for Nana Rita to come out & visit this month! She was able to stay with us from the 5th through the 27th of March, and we had a blast! Here are some of the things we enjoyed.

Dinner with the Hamiltons. Twice! We really enjoyed our 2 Sunday visits. They are always great company, and feel like family.  Rita also got to spend an afternoon with Carolyn and some of her kids which I know she enjoyed.

Food shopping. Neither of us really like to shop that much, but for some reason when we get together, we both get really excited about food and want to shop all the time. We made lots of yummy meals and guilt free desserts!

Had Amanda & her husband over for dinner. Amanda worked at the barn with mom for years and years before she came out to Provo to go to school at BYU. She has since gotten married & moved out here. She is such a sweet heart and I’m glad we’ve gotten to know her.

Trips to the park. We have 4 large play areas within 2 minutes of our house, and Lilah loves playing there every chance she gets. This made for some great bonding time for Nana & Lilah. They spent hours at the park, while Tom and I were able to go out on a few dates!

Lunch with Rob Mooney. It was fun for me to meet him. He was serving in the area in MA when Tom was almost mission age. He had some great stories to tell.

Lunch with the Englunds. They were nice enough to order sandwiches for all of us at their home. The visit was quick for me, but I still enjoyed catching up. Mom was able to spend the rest of the day with Mary after I left to take Wicky to the airport.

Lots and lots of yummy salads & colorful breakfast’s. Wow, I have never eaten so much salad in my life, and I loved it. Mom is doing a challenge where she has to eat 5 fruits & 5 veggies a day. They all have to be different too.  So at least 1 salad a day helps to make it a little easier to squeeze in so many fruits & veggies. Here’s some pretty pictures we took.

Visit to see Jacky & her 3 little girls. Thanks for always welcoming us into your home!

Zumba! Mom and I did a LOT of Zumba while she was here. I had never tried it before she came out, and quickly learned to love it. For the first week she was here we were able to get a 7 day trial pass to 24 hour fitness. We really took advantage of that week and sometimes fit in 2 classes a day. After that it was a little bit scattered. We took classes at 4 different places at different times and days. It took some serious planning, but mom was able to squeeze in a ton of her favorite exercise while she was here. Here’s Lilah in Nana’s work out shoes:

The UVU Home & Garden Expo. Nana, Tom, Lilah and I went together, and had a great time looking at everything. We actually found a great straightener there for mom! The guy working at the booth did a demonstration on her hair and we all loved it! We actually both ended up getting one! Mine was a gift from Nana for taking her to get all girlified! Thanks again mom! That was too much.

Clothes shopping. Mom and I had a great afternoon/evening at the mall looking for new clothes for her. She has dropped quite a bit of weight in the last little while & basically needs a whole  new wardrobe. We had a great time picking out some really classy outfits. Why I didn’t take pictures??? I don’t know!

Grumpy (Wicky) joining us in Provo. More to come on his visit & amazing fix-it skills.

And much much more! We had such a great time. Thanks mom for coming out to spend time with us! We absolutely loved it! Her are some more random pictures from the visit:

Random February

Lilah having a little breakfast with her monkey and baby doll. She put her monkey in the chair then asked me to put the baby in her highchair. Then she asked me to put a bib on her baby as well. For about 30 minutes she ate her breakfast & fed it to her 2 friends as well. I’m loving this pretending stage! So cute!

Lately Lilah loves going to the bathroom by herself in her own miniature potty instead of the seat we place over the regular toilet. She’s getting pretty good at taking her own pants off, but has a harder time putting them back on. So this is what I get a lot… a baby running around pants-less.

Wow, thanks again mom & dad McConnon for the anniversary gift! Even though it was kinda funny making jokes about it, we really appreciated it!

One of Lilah’s favorite past times: riding in Costco carts with over-sized animals.

Lilah loves to pretend she has “owie’s.” She’ll get out an ice pack and hold it on there while she fake wines…. super funny. Her favorites are on her head, & knee.

Here’s Lilah doing some “dedidize” (exercise).

Ward Talent Show

I found out about the talent show this year and decided that I wanted to perform. Most my talents aren’t easily or often shared, so I jumped at the chance. I decided to do some cheerleading stunts with an old BYU squad friend.  I partially wanted to do it to prove to myself that I could still do hard things & things that I enjoy when I am in pain. Being in pain makes everything seem more difficult, but sometimes I just decide to push myself and do something I really enjoy even if it is going to hurt. The doctor has told me he doesn’t think I could cause more damage, so all I have to deal with, is the pain. And sometimes being able to do something that makes you feel normal is worth it.

I had a great time, and I know my ward enjoyed it as well. Thanks again KC & Grant!

Hybid Withdrawls

Since visiting Hybid Farm back in November and getting to ride the horses, Lilah is going through some serious withdrawals. Sometime I even find her sitting on her little thumb-sized animals saying “weee…” Then she tells me she’s getting a ride “yide.” Here’s a few photos we happen to capture:

And my personal favorite:

ABC’s

I still can’t believe my little girl is old enough to know how to join in on a song. She’s growing up so fast! I love this age!

Valentines Celebration

Our anniversary happens to fall on the day before Valentines day, so we usually have quite an exciting week full of celebration! On Valentines day we decided to celebrate as a family. We decorated the kitchen and our dinner menu included: baked asparagus, dill carrots, quinoa with saffron and onions, sparkling apple cider, and strawberry cashew ice cream!

Everything turned out great and we all enjoyed it. I think Lilah could tell that it was a special night and she was super sweet the whole time. She was totally spoiled with her sparkling cider and cashew ice cream!

Our Club

We went up to Grandpa Haworth’s farm this weekend and came across this little gem. I think I was probably the one to write it. My spelling struggled….

Love it!

Garage Soccer

Wow I did not think this would work, but from the sound of it, I think the boys had a great time. They were originally supposed to play at a different location that fell through, so Tom suggested they play in our garage! Pretty funny! My favorite part of the evening was when Lilah was sitting at the table and pointing to the garage she yelled, “BOYS!” I hope that is not a sign of what’s to come….

Sunday Dinner

Ryan and Mandy came over for dinner on Sunday night and these 2 girls had a great time! I wish they weren’t moving so far away! I would love to see them grow up together. You’ll be missed!

Even though this photo is blurry, I had to put it in… So cute.

Here they are jumping off the stairs… Well, Lilah is trying to jump but is kind of just falling off… lol
